AGNEW GOLD MINE
Fly-in, fly-out

Agnew Gold Mine comprises New Holland and Waroonga, both of which are underground operations 23 km west of Leinster and employ more than 600 staff and contractors. Each year it produces more than 200,000 ounces of gold.

The majority of Agnew’s 650-strong workforce live permanently in Perth and commute to site on a fly-in, fly-out roster. Agnew offers a suite of services to its workforce including:

  • free gym,
  • a wet mess and
  • outdoor sports facilities.

Agnew also boasts a new accommodation camp and solar plus wind renewable energy farm. It is just over an hour flight from Perth or a 20-minute drive from Leinster. Employees fly to site on a chartered jet departing Perth Airport’s Terminal 2 twice weekly.

Most graduate and professional roles operate on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster. Other rosters in operation include 4 days on, 3 days off; or 8 days on, 6 days off; 7 nights on, 7 days off, however these are typically for management or production employees.

GRANNY SMITH GOLD MINE
Fly-in, fly-out

The site comprises an underground mine with a 10-year mine life and is located 740 km north-east of Perth. Travel to the site takes just over an hour from Perth via private charter.

The Granny Smith Village offers a variety of facilities including:

  • a gym
  • group exercise classes including CrossFit, yoga, boxing, mixed netball
  • a purpose-built music room
  • WIFI and 4G Telstra
  • Foxtel and
  • Outdoor BBQ area and pizza ovens

A dedicated area for relaxation and socialising called the Gold Lounge has been established where residents can watch a movie or catch up with others in a quiet and comfortable setting. An active Social Club organises events throughout the year, including family visits at Christmas.

GRUYERE GOLD MINE
Fly-in, fly-out

Gruyere is a 50/50 joint venture with Gold Road Resources and is located on the South Dorothy Hills Trend, 25 km north-east of the Yamarna Belt discovery, Central Bore. Gruyere has an open pit with a 13-year mine life.

The flight to Gruyere from Perth is 90 minutes, and employees stay in the Gruyere Village which boasts:

  • high speed WIFI
  • extensive sporting facilities such as a driving range, a well-equipped gym, basketball and soccer courts and
  • a tavern
  • social activities including quiz nights and fundraising events

These roles are permanent and offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster and are fly-in, fly-out from Perth. Benefits offered to permanent employees include a private health insurance allowance and quarterly bonuses.

ST IVES GOLD MINE
Residential, Fly-in, fly-out and Bus-in, busout

St Ives Gold Mine is located 80 km south of Kalgoorlie and is a combination of underground and open pit. It employs more than 800 staff and contractors and yields about 360,000 ounces each year.

The workforce predominately lives in Kalgoorlie or Kambalda however, some senior managers and technical employees fly in from Perth. Daily transportation is offered to all employees to and from Kambalda and Kalgoorlie

The site offers a variety of different rosters dependent on each department. For example, 5 days on, 5 nights on and 5 days off for operational employees; or 9 days on, 5 days off; or 8 days on, 6 days off; or even 5 days on and 2 days off for a variety of professional and operational support employees.
