Football West is pleased to provide an ongoing summary of the programs, clinics and other activations in the Goldfields, where Gold Fields Australia is our Official Regional Partner.
In Term One of 2024, Football West Community Participation Officer – Goldfields John Karavitis and his coaches delivered:
"Other commitments included a four-week training program with Sporting Schools in Coolgardie, and we also visited Esperance and the Ravensthorpe areas to put on programs," Mr Karavitis said.
"Our Hyundai Football West Academy program has run for seven weeks now and has a total of 110 players. It is proving very popular. We also ran a workshop for the Academy players, with support from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and the Goldfields Sports Development Foundation.
"We also aligned with two schools, and three students completed work experience. It’s been a terrifically busy and rewarding term."
Football West Chief Operating Officer Perry Ielati said: "It is great to see the work John and his team are doing in the Goldfields.
"The support of Gold Fields Australia is invaluable in this area and we are fully appreciative of our partnership."
