The mining company provides emotional support to its employees and family through its psychological clinic “En Confianza” with psychologists specializing in family issues.
At a global level, in all Gold Fields operations, the relevance of comprehensive care was highlighted, highlighting the importance of mental health and its timely care. At the regional level, in Peru and Chile, the start of these activities included a letter from the Executive Committee that initiated and supported the initiatives developed throughout the month of October.
Leaders at the regional level shared messages highlighting the importance of prioritizing people’s emotional well-being to break down paradigms around the care that mental health requires.
In Peru, activations were carried out at the different headquarters, organized by the Mental Health Promoters team, a support community made up of volunteers within Gold Fields, who help raise awareness about the importance of mental health.

More initiatives
In addition, internal workshops were carried out with a specialist, which were extended to the communities in the area of influence of the operation, where it was possible to share with school students on “Emotional intelligence and self-esteem.”
In Cerro Corona, an integration walk was held in commemoration of this day and to promote the importance of this type of activities to take care of our mental health.
