Gold Fields Ghana has revealed an advertising arrangement package worth $100,000 for the season to support Medeama.
The announcement was made on Wednesday by the Executive Director of the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation, Abdul Razak Yakubu, during a media tour of the newly constructed TNA Stadium.
This sponsorship comes after an initial cancellation of their sponsorship deal with Medeama, but they later reversed its decision following pressure from the people of Tarkwa, particularly Tarkwa Nsuaem Member of Parliament, George Mireku Duker.
The advertising package is primarily aimed at supporting the Ghanaian champions in their CAF Champions League campaign.
Gold Fields is committed to ensuring Medeama's success in the group stage, which marks their first-ever appearance after defeating teams like Remo Stars and Guinean giants Horoya AC in the preliminary round.
Gold Fields recognises the value of this monetary investment in assisting the club to excel further in their debut Champions League journey.
Medeama are set to face tough opponents in the likes of record holders Al Ahly of Egypt, Algerian champions CR Belouizdad, and Yanga FC of Tanzania. Their first match is in Cairo on November 24.
