As part of its commitment to the progress of the communities surrounding its operations, Gold Fields has carried out a significant improvement of two segments of the Puente-Escuela highway in the rural community of El Tingo.

The purpose of this project is to improve walkability for pedestrians, vehicles and animals in the area. The construction of retaining walls on the road has guaranteed safer access, which facilitates and encourages the marketing of local products, generating an increase in income for residents and their families.
It is important to highlight that, in addition, the project included the installation of subdrainage systems, which helps prevent possible flooding or rainwater leaks that could deteriorate the roads.
With an investment that exceeds 700 thousand soles, Gold Fields continues to promote the quality and safety of the roads in Hualgayoc, contributing to safer vehicular and pedestrian access. This effort reflects Gold Fields’ ongoing commitment to the communities in which it operates.
