Gold Fields and the Provincial Municipality of Hualgayoc-Bambamarca have come together with the objective of improving the quality of life in this city of Cajamarca.
Gold Fields and the Provincial Municipality of Hualgayoc-Bambamarca have come together with the objective of improving the drinking water system in the city of Bambamarca.
In this collaboration, the mining company and the local authorities have signed an agreement to begin the preparation of the technical file necessary for the construction of a drinking water treatment plant in the Tres Chorros area, located in the mentioned city.
This project represents one of the most important desires for the Bambamarca community, and its realization implies the participation and commitment of each of the institutions involved.
Gold Fields assumes the responsibility of preparing the pre-investment study and the corresponding technical file.
For its part, the Provincial Municipality of Hualgayoc undertakes to provide the reclaimed land, the passes, the home connections and to operate the plant. In addition, the population is expected to provide the necessary facilities to guarantee an adequate and quality supply in their homes.

In turn, the mayor of the Provincial Municipality of Hualgayoc, Hernán Vásquez, mentioned that "today is an extraordinary day that will remain engraved in the history of Bambamarca. We signed an agreement of great importance with the mining company Gold Fields, a task that has not been easy for us".
"However, thanks to the goodwill of Gold Fields, the day has come to sign this vital agreement to provide our city with potable water, which will benefit our entire community." he expressed excited.
