MACA's open pit mining contract at the Gruyere gold mine in WA has been extended by five years.
The Gruyere mine is a joint venture (JV) between Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources, and is located approximate 1200km north-east of Perth.
Under the contract, MACA will provide a range of mining services such as load and haul, drill and blast, and crushing and screening. It is expected that the extension will generate $850 million in revenue.
"We are excited to embark on this extended partnership with Gruyere JV, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, who have consistently delivered high-quality services to date," Thiess group executive Australia west and MACA chief executive office David Greig said.
"This contract extension further solidifies our long-standing partnership with Gruyere JV.
"MACA remains committed to providing innovative mining solutions that aligns with our clients evolving needs. We are excited to continue our collaboration with Gruyere JV in their ongoing sustainability initiatives."
MACA will work closely with the Traditional Owners of the land to ensure a collaborative approach. Greig said MACA remains dedicated to fostering strong relationships with Traditional Owners.
Gold Fields Australian executive vice president Stuart Mathews and Gold Road Resources managing director and chief executive officer Duncan Gibbs extended their congratulations to MACA.
