Yamana Gold Q2 gold and silver production rises 8% - TradingView

Thursday, 7 July 2022

Yamana Gold (YRI, AUY), which in May agreed to be acquired by Gold Fields (GFI) for US$6.7 billion, on Thursday said it second-quarter gold and silver production rose 8.1%.

The company said its five mines produced 260,960 gold-equivalent ounces in the period, compared with 241,341 GEOs in the second quarter of 2021.

It pegged all-in sustaining costs in the quarter at less than US$1,090 per ounce, up from US$1,081 a year earlier.

"Year to date operating results comfortably position the company to achieve both its annual production and cost guidance. The strong year to date gold equivalent production has exceeded budget despite the gold to silver ratio being near an all-time high and significantly above the company's budget assumption for that ratio," it said in a release.

Yamana shares closed up C$0.28 to C$6.05 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
